Persecution for righteousness sake refers to standing up for what is right in the eyes of God, even if it means making oneself publicly outspoken about it or simply refusing to participate in sinful activities. Gregg emphasizes the importance for Christians to be prepared to suffer for the sake of Christ and not be afraid to pray for boldness to stand firm in the face of persecution.
